Cliff Gott didn’t set out to build a technology company. He set out to solve a problem he’d watched go unsolved for most of his career.

After 18 years working in security installations — from residential alarm systems on the Kapiti Coast to large commercial sites across the lower North Island — Cliff started his own company, Secure Time, in 2018. The business grew steadily, built on a reputation for honest advice, quality workmanship, and the kind of reliable local service that only comes from someone who genuinely knows their community.

But the call for a better solution for large sites or sites with no infrastructure kept coming. A farmer who’d had diesel siphoned from equipment spread across fifty hectares of paddocks. A construction site manager whose tools had been stripped two nights running. A property owner with a remote block and nothing between their assets and whoever decided to show up after dark. The common thread was always the same: no power, no internet, no practical way to install a conventional system. The existing solutions couldn’t reach them. An easily deployed, stand-alone system was needed to solve these problems.

Site Guardian was Cliff’s answer to that gap. A solar-powered, 4G-connected security tower that could be deployed anywhere — not as a recording device, but as a genuine prevention system.
